GATSBY
Gatsby is a midnight blue 1948 Plymouth P-15 Special Deluxe with a flathead six cylinder engine, split windshield, push button ignition, pinstriped wool upholstery, and suicide doors. She fits four passengers and a driver with room to spare. Plymouth bragged she was spacious enough to sit in without taking your hat off.After WWII automakers were eager to retool and redesign their vehicles. The P-15 was among the last of the big fender art deco era cars that had dominated the road since the early 1930s. This is a vintage original car that sounds, looks, and drives just as she did after rolling off the line at the Los Angeles factory. For Motorheads: The MOPAR in-line six cylinder flathead engine has a legendary reputation for reliability. Though not as famous as its more powerful Hemi cousin, the valve-in-block engine was produced from 1933 until 1959, among the longest production runs in automotive history. Stock P-15s displace 218 cubic inches, and rate 95 horsepower at 3600 rpm. Due to its original hardened valve seats, unleaded fuel works fine.

RATES
We tell you our prices up front. There are no hidden costs. Standard RateGatsby's standard rate is $90 an hour. You will be billed from pick up to drop off time. Many chauffeur services charge based on 'garage to garage' time. We feel this is unfair to the customer and a method of bill padding. However, if you are located outside of Seattle city limits or Mercer Island a travel fee (generally $50) may apply. If you are pleased with our service a customary tip of 15% is appreciated. Special Rate: Monday through Thursday we will drive you to and from a single Seattle location for a flat fee of $100. We offer this service so that you can enjoy a restaurant, concert or sporting event, without worrying about the time. Per DayHalf day: Service up to six hours. $450.Full day: Service up to twelve hours. $900.

Can I see the car before hiring you?Absolutely, just call us to arrange a visit.Do you take credit cards? We prefer cash or checks, but also accept Paypal. What is Gatsby's history? She was bought by a WWII veteran, and spent most of her life on a farm near Corvallis, Oregon. We are her third owner. How late will you drive?We are night owls. If you would like to cruise the city at 2am we will drive you. What sort of insurance do you have? We carry a $1,050,000 liability policy, as required by the State of Washington. Are you licensed?We have a Livery/Limousine Carrier License issued by the Washington Department of Licensing. Can the vehicle be decorated?If requested, we will decorate the car with a Just Married sign, bows and ribbon. Are you available for photo and film shoots? Yes, please call us for rates. Do you give tours? Yes, we give tours of Seattle, the Woodinville wineries, and Puget Sound backroads. Can I play my I-Pod/MP3 on your stereo?Our stereo has been retrofitted, and is compatible with your I-Pod/MP3 player. We also have an extensive music library with tracks from all genres. Is a 1948 Plymouth reliable?Though she is over sixty years old, our car is scrupulously maintained and serviced. Vehicles of this age require extra care, but (knock on wood) we've never had a break down. If a mechanical problem causes a cancellation, we will refund all payments and give you a free evening of service. .
ABOUT
We are a father and son business, a retired history teacher and a part time lawyer, who appreciate old motors and old-fashioned customer service. We phone before picking you up, confirm all engagements the day before, and meet with you in person to make custom arrangements. Unless requested otherwise, we wear formal attire. We are located in the Mt. Baker neighborhood of Seattle, and are fully licensed and insured. .
